Remembering Matthew

Matthew was born on November 18, 1998. He entered the foster care system at the age of 2. He was placed in a state shelter for children until he found the family that he would know and love in February of 2001.

On April 25, 2003 the McIntyre family became even more blessed through Matthew's adoption. This was one of the happiest days of their lives.

Matthew brought so much love and joy to, not only Denise, Paul, Kelli, Kristi, Jamie, and Jordan, but also to their extended family and to everyone that he met. His charm and personality touched many people and affected their lives in a positive way. Matthew had a way of making you feel very special. He never met a stranger.

Matthew had an infectious energy and zest for life. He made many friends who truly enjoyed being in his company and experiencing life along side him.  Matthew had a great love of music and aspired to become a musician and performer. He was enrolled at To The Pointe of Performing Arts in Cranston, RI, where he was taking Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop lessons.

Sadly, Matthew passed away tragically, on June 20, 2008 at the age of 9 years old.  Although he had affected so many people in his short time, he was taken from the world too soon and was unable to finish his work. As a result, the McIntyre family has decided to organize a fund in Matthew's name to raise money for other children in need so that Matthew's memory will continue to grow in a loving manner. They are pleased to establish this fund in honor of Matthew with the hope that other childrens' lives will be made better.
